Bryn is a suburb to Oslo, right on the edge between the older, denser city and the industrial areas further out. Areas that are in the process of being transformed from industry to offices. During the covid pandemic I worked as a traffic guard at a drive-through test centre at Bryn. This unintentionally became long term research into the test centre’s surroundings, mainly made up of parking lots and other non-places. A few months after quitting, when the test centre was finally closed, I was drawn back there.
